“Gavin Templeton has captured another alluring vision of the ever-evolving sound of L.A.”
- Chris Barton, Los Angeles Times
"Templeton boasts an assured yet adventurous voice, sometimes with nods to Ornette Coleman and Henry Threadgill."
- Josef Woodard, DownBeat Magazine
With Templeton on alto saxophone, Richard Giddens on bass and Gene Coye on drums - each a virtuoso in his own right - this power trio plays with fearless energy, extraordinary sensitivity, and heartfelt emotion. Their music mixes beautifully soaring melodies with dynamic rhythmic drive, taking the listener on a musical safari of sonic exploration.

The group had the privilege of meeting famed artist and muralist Esteban Villa during their December 2013 tour. Villa sketched the picture (side) of the group while they were playing and gave it to Templeton after the show. Villa said, "I made the notes look like chili peppers because you play fire!"
